A board and train program for dogs is an excellent option for pet owners who want to give their dogs the opportunity to receive focused, intensive training daily. In our home, we offer comprehensive board and train programs that are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual dog.

Our Long Island board and train typically last for 2-4 weeks, during which time your dog will live on-site with our family. This is a great option for those of you who have concerns over sending your dog to over crowded training facilities .We only board and train a limited number of dogs per month and focus all of our attention on them.

While your dog is staying with us, they will receive daily training sessions that focus on building a foundation of obedience and addressing any problem behaviors they may have.

We use balanced training techniques to encourage good behavior and discourage negative behaviors, and we will work closely with your dog to ensure that they make progress towards their training goals.

What Are the Common Behaviors We Work on During a Board and Train?

• Leash Pulling. Leash training can be a major challenge. Our training sessions, especially the 2-week program, provide loose leash and off-leash dog training, ensuring the leash-pulling issue is resolved. We excel in advanced obedience lessons, teaching your dog to walk calmly beside you.
• Reactivity. Dogs may react negatively to environmental distractions or new settings. We use positive reinforcement techniques and desensitization training during our private lessons and group classes to address reactivity issues.
• Recall. Orienting your pet towards basic obedience commands like recall is one of our training goals. With our training sessions, we teach your companion to return to you promptly when called.
• Ecollar Training. As a holistic dog training method, we sometimes use E-collar training. Our experienced dog trainers ensure a safe environment while using such training equipment.
• Chewing & Jumping. Excessive chewing and uncontrolled jumping can be issues of concern. Our training programs also include housebreaking training to deal with these problems.
• Aggression. We often see aggression issues in dogs. Behavioral training and our specialized aggression control program help mitigate aggressive behavior.
• Lunging. Through in-home dog training sessions and our board & training in our excellent training facility, we efficiently tackle the lunging problem.
• Obedience. Basic and advanced dog obedience training on Long Island is part of our training. Our balanced trainers help achieve this behavior in dogs.
• Barking. Barking issues are resolved with our behavioral foundation programming. Behavioral training sessions focus on cutting excessive barking.
• Separation Anxiety. Dealing with separation anxiety is often tough on both dogs and their owners. Our comprehensive training programs incorporate techniques to handle this stress-related behavior. We work on building independence in your pet and reducing their fear of being alone.
